For Kidsweek, I helped develop and produce several short video formats aimed at children and educators. Each piece translated complex themes into clear, playful, and engaging stories, tailored to Kidsweek’s tone and target audience.
One of the central campaigns revolved around artificial intelligence, climate change, and yes, even poop. We wanted to address topics that are both urgent and entertaining to young viewers. The creative challenge was to present these subjects in a way that sparked curiosity without oversimplifying. I worked on the visual concept, scripting, and editing guidance to ensure the tone stayed smart, funny, and accessible.
Leading up to the Dutch elections, we created a fast-paced series of short online videos that explained political terms, the election process, and party differences in a way that kids could actually understand. Each video was designed to be social-media-friendly, both in format and energy, and served as a useful tool for parents and teachers alike to talk about democracy.
In addition to the child-facing content, we also produced a more informative video for the “Kidsweek in de Klas” educational program. This explainer was aimed at teachers and schools, showing how to integrate Kidsweek’s printed and digital materials into classroom activities. The tone was practical and supportive, designed to make the materials easy to adopt regardless of
teaching style.
This project gave me the opportunity to work across content types and audiences, from playful video snippets to clear instructional formats, while maintaining a unified brand voice.
