Identity and strategy

Makeda Rds is a Brussels based musician who released her first track in 2020 and I have been lucky to be involved in this project from the start.

A discussion about protecting her identity and making her music the most important part of it became the inspiration for the first photo shoot in the studio. After this we decided to continue with this idea and create a whole identity around it that would also resonate in her music.

The first three album covers were a mixture of a hidden identity that is often used online and the content of her lyrics that talk about relationships, adultery and secrets shared through social media.
